The "7th Annual All Media International Juried Online Art Exhibition"
became quite an endeavor for Upstream People Gallery. Nearly 700 artworks were reviewed and re-reviewed over three weeks of decision-making. Just as most jurors say, it was a very difficult process.
Mainly, the works that were chosen were impressive in a number of ways, consequently there is a lot of diversity in this year's show. High technical achievement is usually an consideration for easy selection. Quite humorous works can certainly have a well-deserved place in this type of show. Visual statements about the culture of different peoples also gain acceptance in today's Post-Modernism. Other works were selected for somewhat pedagogical purposes to promote originality, including emerging artists and those artists who give a kind of purity of expression.
Overall, I'm delighted with such a large show which I hope gives an overview, showcasing "what's going on in art today". And many thanks to all the artists representing other countries.
